Visitation Ministry
“Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world… I was sick and you visited Me’… ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ ” (Matthew 25: 34,36b, 39-40)
Our visitation program at the Oak Hill church of Christ has one focus. We want to do all that we can to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Contacts are made in various ways - phone calls, visits, postcards - and is carried out by individual members or groups. Some members prefer to make visits on their own, others connect with friends and combine their efforts and their fellowship, and still yet, some approaches are made through other groups such as our Life Groups or Care Groups. Two of our elders coordinate a visitation effort and strive to meet one night a week.
You can bless someone's life by simply visiting and spending time with them. If you would like to be a part of a visitation team, contact one of our elders or the church office. We need you!
James 1:27 This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and keep oneself unstained by the world.
